ONE – THE STORY
I mean, why else would you want to back a Kickstarter? It’s got multiple POVs – you’ll fall in love with some characters and hate others, and sometimes you’ll love characters that hate each other. It has deadly challenges, brutal puzzles, bloody combat. It has lots of action, but also some swoony, emotional, no spice romantic subplots with characters you can gush and fangirl over. It’s got the dramatic politics and a “I don’t know who to trust” vibe, with secrets, lies, betrayals. It has platonic friendships, fun banter, and laughter in dark times. It also features a lot of caves and monster attacks! It’s a deadlier version of Survivor meets the Hunger Games.
In this game, players must fight to survive. The Nyclimes call it tradition. Everyone else calls it a nightmare.
Every year, the Nyclimes captures fifty humans and throw them into a twisted, brutal game of survival where the rules are simple: fight to live or die.
Contestants must battle in pairs through deadly obstacle courses, brutal puzzles, and blood-soaked combat—while relying on allies they can’t always trust. They must find food to prevent starvation at camp while navigating shifting strategies, fragile alliances, and opponents willing to do anything to win. When the Nyclime host introduces powerful crystals into the game, everyone wrestles with the temptations of lying, stealing, and joining their enemies—doing whatever it takes to live.
Every choice could be fatal.
The Nyclimes’ twisted game breaks everyone it touches. They’ll betray friends to get ahead. They’ll compromise everything they believe in just to survive. Because in this game, only monsters win.
In the end, only two will make it out.
And they won’t be the same.
TWO – THE ILLUSTRATIONS
The artist, moimoi13.art on Instagram, designed the illustrations and they are GORGEOUS! Not only will these be in the back of Survivor’s Collector Edition (eBook, Paperback AND Hardback) but now the backers have unlocked two of the illustrations being sent as prints (physical to physical backers and digital to digital backers)! They capture the action and the emotion, they have stunning colors and lightening, everything you want from fantasy art from a book!

The characters of Survivor will stay with you long after the story is over. You’re going to fall in love. You’ll laugh with them, you’ll cry with them, you’ll get all the FEELS!

Shade has lived his live scavenging the world and dealing with the brunt of what the world has done to him. He’s angry, and he hates the world and everyone in it, especially the woman who’s family rivaled his own for resources. The only problem is that now she’s his only hope for survival. If they can rely on each other.
Jerron is a man running from his past. He spends his days caring for everyone around him and making sure they have everything they need. With fifty people kidnapped and scared, they need someone they can rely on. But when he meets Nyve, despite that she has a massive target on her back from rebelling against the Nyclime Regime, he can’t help but try to lower the walls she has around herself. Even if that means making himself a target too.
And we can’t forget about Ryve. I LOVE Ryve even though I don’t yet have a sketch or an illustration of him.
Ryve is the kind of friend who can turn a crumbling world into a place worth fighting for—loyal, light-hearted, and always ready with a smile when it’s needed most. He hides his scars behind laughter, but don’t mistake him for shallow. Beneath the jokes and easy grin is a soul forged by hardship, and a loyalty that runs bone-deep. In a world of betrayal and survival, Ryve reminds everyone why they’re still fighting. He’s the golden retriever energy in a nightmare—and the one character you’ll swear must be protected at all costs. 🐾💛
